Here are some great features of the Bushnell Natureview Plus binoculars.
- BaK-4 roof prisms for bright, clear, crisp viewing, Fully multi-coated
- Fully multi-coated optics for superior light transmission and brightness
- Textured center focus knob for easy, precise adjustments
- Rugged, non-slip rubber armor absorbs shock
- Includes soft vinyl carrying case and neck strap
Great detail, good magnification and field of view, and easy to keep steady. This binocular has a nice tight feel. It is easy to focus, light in weight, and is very easy to adjust. The field of view is actually 441 feet at 1000 yards, not the advertised 330 yards.
The wider 40mm objective lens diameter allows for great bird-watching in the early morning hours and in the late evening. The deluxe strap is strong and well-made, the rubber exterior is comfortable for extensive holding and for absorbing shocks and repelling water, and the fold-down eye cups are great for those with glasses.
Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Bushnell 8×42 Natureview Plus Binoculars.
We bought the Bushnell Natureview to help us identify the various birds that feed in the creek and the surrounding undergrowth. Since the purchase, we have been able to name many of the land-birds and water-birds. This is a great product and well worth the purchase price.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Nikon Action All Terrain Binoculars
They are *Waterproof* (very important, it’s easy to confuse these with the lower-quality Nikon Action range) and fog proof, with clear and bright images. The 7×35 version of the Action Extreme won the highest position in the Cornell Ornithology Lab 2005 binocular shootout out of 15 budget entries.

These are light weight (12 oz less than my old clunker), much brighter, remarkably wide field of view, sharp edge-to-edge, comfortable, well made. For general purpose binoculars, I can’t imagine a better product. Recommended.

Here are some great features of Nikon Action Extreme binoculars.
- Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance
- All-metal chassis in lightweight polycarbonate shell
- Rubber-coated body for firm, non-slip grip
- Magnification: 10x
- Objective lens: 50mm
These Nikon Action EX 10×50 binoculars are unusually well-crafted. Their optics are sharp and bright, even at dawn or dusk. Their ergonomics and controls are rugged and smooth. Most of all, the wiggle you’d expect from 10-power binocs are rarely a problem here because the frame is lighter than most products in this price-range.
While great at distances of 500+ feet, they focus very clearly at 27.5 feet, too. Whatever the distance, the view is bright, the colors generally vivid and the detail superb.
Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Nikon Action All Terrain Binoculars.
I ordered these binoculars only a few days ago but I can already tell that they are terrific.
I compared them with two other binoculars and knew right away that I was going to keep them and also use them much more often than originally anticipated.Jeff Stertz

An especially cool feature of all the Nikon Monarchs is the close focus distance. If you like looking at butterflies and dragonflies as well as birds, these binoculars are an excellent choice for their price tag.
The optics are very clear and focusing the lens is a snap with good range of focus. They articulate for the widest and narrowest of faces to make viewing clear. The adjustment for wearing glasses or no glasses is easy and spot on.
Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Nikon Monarch ATB 8×42 Binocular.
Briefly, these are the best binoculars you can get without spending big bucks. These binoculars are three times as good as what you can get for $100 and 90% as good as what you can get for $2,000. They are better than most similarly priced binoculars, and better than many much more expensive binoculars.

Here are some great features of the Pentax Papilio Binoculars
For anyone who loves nature’s fine details, these binoculars are a must have. The clarity and detail when viewing flowers is unparalleled. Truly creates immersive 3-d environments out of natural materials. Allows for astounding detail and depth.
These binoculars are very versatile and it’s like having two different optical viewing systems, one for up close and one for far away. A light-weight and compact, but powerful binocular.
Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Pentax 8.5×21 Porro Prism Binocular.
Being able to focus to 20 inches or so allows me to watch insects & spiders with as much detail as if my eye were just a couple inches from the object (if the naked eye could focus that close). The view is gorgeous. At close range, it is somewhat like looking through a dissecting microscope. Amazingly, the quality of the image is very good (for both near & far objects). Basically, these binocs are a real treat to own and well worth the price.
